At the end of August, fava beans are harvested in the Netherlands and Germany to provide regional raw material for our textured products. After four years of research & development, we succeeded in realizing the first Northern European plant-based protein production for direct use in vegetarian food as whole food.

This is by far the most efficient way to produce proteins for human food locally in Europe, achieving a yield of over 7,5 tons of beans per hectare at 33% proteins. Meatless produces a textured product in high volumes straight from the milled beans, not using high pressure or high temperature in its gentle production processes. These textured products, based on 100% whole food fava beans, are delivered to the food processing industry in the UK, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands as a basic clean label product to produce vegetarian and vegan products.
