Producing a vegan sausage made easy

Developing a vegan sausage is not an easy task. A real meat hotdog or breakfast sausage has a specific and very recognizable taste; juicy and fresh with a certain elasticity, not rubbery but just firm enough for an excellent bite. That particular texture we wanted to recreate, but now using plant-based ingredients.

For a couple of years, we have been working hard to develop meatless sausages that come as close to the meat originals as can be. So close, that you will have difficulty tasting the difference between plant-based and original. Now we can announce that we have cracked it. The best part is that it involves using old school meat technology, but now using plant-based ingredients instead of meat. We even succeeded to keep the fat percentage as low as 5 to 10 percent. Our Meatless flakes guarantee you that juicy bite and that little ‘snap-sound’ when you eat a piece of it. Just like the real thing.

As said, it involves old school technology. As you would need to produce a meat-based sausage, to make our plant-based sausage, you will only need a bowl chopper and a grinder, that’s all. Then you put in all the different ingredients and create your plant-based sausage. We can create all kinds of different sausages, from a hotdog to an old fashion Dutch Rookworst.

We can talk hours about it, but just take a look at the video and see how easy it can be.

Fancy a nice tasty Frankfurter from plants only? This process is easily scalable to a 300-litre vacuum bowl chopper. Vacuum bowl-chopping improves the final result even more.

If you are into making vegetarian or vegan sausages, come and taste ours. Or we visit you to show how you can produce tasty plant-based sausages on a large scale. Give it a try, you will be surprized…
